Summer 2014 Opportunities

What are you doing this summer, Bulldogs?!

Judge Memorial Catholic High School offers a variety of academic and enrichment courses designed for all grades and interests. Listed here are the Summer Opportunities details available to date; most classes will run June 9 through June 26. Please register early as class sizes are limited. Students are encouraged to use these summer opportunities to develop a talent or interest in the arts, humanities, or sciences, or to get preparation for high school or specific courses. Read more »

Judge Memorial Catholic High School provides a high-quality college-preparatory education within a diverse, Christian atmosphere. Third Quarter Honor Roll for 2013-2014

Thank you, parents and families! Thank you, faculty and staff! Congratulations, students!

Thank you to all for your encouragement of our students both in and out of the classroom. The 2013-2014 second quarter ended in March with 539 students in grades 9, 10, 11 and 12 named to the Judge Memorial honor roll. Of those students, 18 earned a perfect 4.0 in their studies this quarter.

This is a significant honor for these students and we applaud their hard work and dedication to their studies. Read more »

May 16: 10th Annual Psychology Fair

Judge Memorial psychology and AP psychology students will display and discuss their original psychological research in the foyer of the Judge Memorial Auditorium on Friday, May 16 at the 10th Annual Judge Memorial Psychology Fair.

Parents and others are invited to visit this fun, educational and informal event. Attendees can stay for as long or short a time as desire; all will be impressed by our students' originality and scientific thinking. Read more »

Linda Simpson Receives National Recognition

Linda Simpson, a local English teacher from Judge Memorial Catholic High School, has been selected from a national applicant pool to attend one of 20 summer study opportunities supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities. The Endowment is a federal agency that each summer supports Landmarks of American History and Culture workshops so that teachers can study with experts in humanities disciplines.

Linda will participate in a workshop entitled The Most Southern Place on Earth; the Music, Culture, and History in the Mississippi Delta. Read more »

Simpson named 'Woman of Distinction' by Consociates Auxiliary

The Consociates Auxiliary of Assistance League of Salt Lake City will honor two "Women of Distinction" at their annual Champagne Brunch on Saturday, May 3. This year's outstanding honorees are Linda Simpson and Evelyn Sadler.

As an English teacher at Judge Memorial Catholic High School, Linda Simpson has gone above and beyond her teaching duties to motivate and inspire her students to utilize their skills to expand their own creative pursuits. Read more »

Bettin's art work selected for local fundraiser

Two art pieces by Tom Bettin, Judge Memorial Catholic High School art teacher, have been selected to show in Repertory Dance Theatre's Land2Land art exhibit/auction fundraiser. Mr. Bettin's work is on the 5th row third from the left and the 6th row lead, currently on display at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts center.

LAND, the final performance on RDT's 2013-2014 season, their 48th season, is dedicated to the majestic landscapes that surround us. Read more »

Halloran receives award from RMC

Congratulations to our very own Peter Halloran who has been selected as the outstanding student representing Rocky Mountain College's (RMC) education program's Cohort VI.

Peter was selected by his peers representing the cohort as an exemplary aspiring leader. Peter will be honored at RMC's student awards banquet on Tuesday, April 8.

Good work, Mr. Halloran, and how wonderful that our students are given the gift of your expertise and joy!

Judge seniors submit 'World of 7 Billion' video contest, advance to second round

Judge Memorial Catholic High School seniors Allyson Dugan, Jackie Morgan and Isabel Romano submitted a video to the "World of 7 Billion" video contest and, out of over 900 entries, have moved on to the second round, one of only 180 entries selected to advance.

The contest, sponsored by Population Connection of Washington, D.C., asked students to create videos that illustrated the connection between population growth and one of the following global challenges: climate change, global poverty or water sustainability. Read more »

Mathletes: Formula for Success

Although our football team has seen their fair share of attention this year due to their honorable 3A state victory, one more team at Judge is making their journey towards a state title, and they will be taking a more demanding route. Unlike the football team, our mathletes will be facing larger schools that feed from wider districts, thus making the competition significantly tougher. Read more »
