Third Quarter Honor Roll for 2012-2013

Thank you, parents and families! Thank you, faculty and staff! Congratulations, students!

Thank you to all for your encouragement of our students both in and out of the classroom. The 2012-2013 third quarter ended in March with 542 students in grades 9, 10, 11 and 12 named to the Judge Memorial honor roll. Of those students, 22 earned a perfect 4.0 in their studies this quarter.

This is a significant honor for these students and we applaud their hard work and dedication to their studies. Read more »

Judge Memorial Faculty, Staff receive Diocesan Honors 2013

The Diocese of Salt Lake City held its annual Professional Educators’ Day on Friday, March 8, 2013. The annual gathering was held at the St. Vincent de Paul Parish.

Father John Norman, pastor of Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Salt Lake City, received the Diocese's annual "Christ the Teacher" Award in recognition to his commitment and service to the Diocesan Catholic Schools and to Catholic education. POL '13 School Finalist: Nick!

After a long journey, hundreds of poems, and many rounds of competition, we have a school finalist for 2013 Poetry Out Loud. Congratulations to junior Nick Markham!

Nick will recite three poems in the state finals which will take place on Tuesday, March 12 at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center in the Black Box Theatre in Salt Lake City. The preliminary competition will be at 2 PM and the final will be at 7 PM.

Congratulations also to the following three school finalists for Poetry Out Loud '13: Paco Juarez, Nick Markham, and Connor McCoy.

Judge Memorial participates in 2013 State Math Contest

Judge Memorial Catholic High School will once again participate in the State Math Contest to be held this year at Utah State University in Logan on Monday, March 11, 2013.

Judge Memorial has had significant success over the years in this competition. Routinely, more than 140 schools participate, with nearly 2,000 students taking the exam state-wide. Read more »

All currently enrolled students were mailed a copy of the 2013-2014 course catalog with instructions, dates, and deadlines. Judge Memorial excels in 2013 English Quest

Judge Memorial Catholic High excelled at the recent English Quest competition held Friday, February 22, 2013, at Weber State University. The competition this year included 17 schools and over 400 student participants.

This year’s team, under the guidance of Darin Hathaway, Michael Lovett and Linda Simpson has continued the Judge tradition of winning major awards at the annual event. Read more »

Judge to compete in the 2013 English Quest

For the eighth consecutive year, Judge Memorial Catholic High School will send a team to Utah English Quest. The 2013 event will be held Friday, February 22 at Weber State University.

Each student will compete in three of the nearly two dozen events. The events cover a wide spectrum and include Personal Narrative, Photo Essay, Book Cover, Persuasive Writing, Poetry Recitation, Poetry Slam, Literature Test, Vocabulary Test, Shakespeare Monologue, Poster, Editing Test, Character Sketch Writing, Storytelling, Informative Speaking, Movie Trailer and Editing Test.
