National Honor Society
National Honor Society is a national honorary group organization. Membership is based on criteria in four areas: scholarship (3.5 GPA), leadership, service and character. Each year new students from Judge Memorial are inducted into the society.
The National Honor Society is an service organization for the school that provides ushers, helpers, and hospitality for many school activities. To join NHS you would talk to Mr. Van Orden in room 109. There is a yearly invitation process to join. You need an information packet from Mr. Van Orden, and to listen for announcements for the dates. The new membership will be decided in the second quarter by current members, and the decisions are based on students' scholarship, leadership, service, and personal character. Students involved in this can graduate with special recognition for their achievements.
Mr. Van Orden said, "last year's officers all graduated." So that leaves open spots where you can sign up to help your school. |
