Dianna Pugh has been a faculty member of Judge Memorial since 1997. She teaches AP United States Government & Politics, American Government, and AP Comparative Government & Politics.
While she was in high school, one of Ms. Pugh's teachers influenced her decision to become an educator. She “modeled a love for learning and cared about her students. We called her 'mom'.” Those fortunate to have Ms. Pugh as their teacher, see a similar love and passion when she teaches. She inspires students to get involved as a positive way to initiate the change they wish to see in their world. One of Ms. Pugh's favorite quotes comes from Robert Kennedy:
“Few will have the greatness to bend history itself; but each of us can work to change a small portion of events, and in the total of all those acts will be written the history of this generation.”

In her spare time, Ms. Pugh enjoys gardening. “I fell in love with perennial gardening 10 years ago. I enjoy working in my gardens — designing, moving plants around, trading with friends, and seeing plants grow. I struggle with throwing away a plant. I would rather it go to a good home.”
Advice she would give to students is this: “Believe in your goodness. Know you are important. Change the world for the better — engage. Seek truth.”
